Project Design

Over the past 19 years Otto has been working as a designer for various disciplines in the construction and engineering fields.  Otto has over 19 years HVAC and plumbing design expertise include performing load calculations, sizing HVAC equipment, ductwork layout and sizing and plumbing system layout and design. Otto has designed Geothermal Heat Pump Systems, Radiant Floor Heating Systems, Central Air Handler and VAV systems, VRF systems, Steam and Condensate Systems and Snow Melt Systems.  Otto has also been responsible for the full design and project management of many large multi-family housing units.  Examples would be: Red Tail Apartments, Heron Village Apartments, Aspen Creek Apartments, The Vista East – Lusk Apartments, The Village West – Sherwood Apartments and a new Student Housing project for Reno, NV.

Project Management

As a Project Manager with Tikker Engineering, Otto has managed both small and large projects as the lead A/E consultant and as a consultant to an architect.  This experience includes schematic design cost estimating, development of bid documents, bidding the project, leading construction meetings, overseeing contractor pay requests, processing proposal requests and change orders and project closeout documentation.
