The LEED Green Building Rating System is a program developed by the US Green Building Council (USGBC), a nonprofit organization of architects, construction companies, product manufacturers, engineers, consultants and many others. It is a voluntary, consensus-based, market-driven building rating system based on existing techniques and materials. The rating system uses accepted energy and environmental principles to evaluate the whole building. The LEED rating system focuses on an integrated approach in the evaluation of an entire project.
Bob Tikker was the first mechanical engineer in the Treasure Valley to have completed the training and passed the exam to become a LEED accredited design professional. Some of the services we offer include: Thermal Comfort, Indoor Air Quality and Energy Modeling of the building. Tikker Engineering currently has three projects looking to become LEED accredited buildings: Title One - Premier Alliance Building, Barber Park - Improvements Project - Phase 2 and the 500 Broad Building.
